This is the tarot deck I use, ofcourse it’s a Flemish one 😉

This deck is called “Vlaamse Tarok van F.I. Vandenborre, 1780”. These tarot cards are an authentic reproduction of the Vlaamse Tarok in 8 colours, originally in woodstocks. As few people know how to read or write, the word “tarot” is mispelled as “tarok”. Also the many French names on the cards are mispelled.

It was a gift from my father, when I was about 14 y.o. The minute I saw it, I immediately fell in love with it. The drawings are so charmingly naive, the names on the cards are sometimes litterally translated from French into Dutch, the deck itself is so colourful, that’s why I love it so much.

p.s. If you would like a copy of the original user guide (Dutch) of this deck, please give me a sign (in a multimedia kind of way, I’m not telepathic ;-))
